Weekly Photo Challenge: Love

At Our Most Beautiful

When I saw the theme to this week’s challenge, one image immediately sprang to mind.

This is my favourite photo of my sisters and me. To me, it speaks of everything that we are.
Despite the years that lie between us, despite our unconventional histories and circumstances, we have fought for our little unit and built our family by our own hands. They are my link to my past and my joy for the future. It has been a delight to watch them grow into the astounding people they have become and a privilege to share in the journey.

The fact that this photo was taken by the woman who would become my wife, is the icing on the cake. Surrounded by three of the most dazzling examples of the best of humanity, is it any wonder that my heart swells with such a song of joy and gratitude?

Zelda, Tsarina and Auburn, I thank God for you: with every breath I draw and with every thought that passes, I thank Him for the abundant blessing I have been gifted by your presence in my life. You are truly my heart: and the essence of everything I believe to be beautiful.

Track #6 on The Listening Booth: Week #4 is my love song to you.

  1. Love between siblings is a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing the photo and your words here. I hope my children grow up to build a bond like this. I chose the relationship between siblings as one of my photos for this challenge as well.
