Title: You Took the Words Right Out of my Mouth
Artist: Meatloaf

#1

Title: Video Killed the Radio Star
Artist: The Buggles
Album: VH1 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders Of The 80s

Another colourful 80s track.

#2

Title: Old Marcus Garvey
Artist: Burning Spear
Album: Marcus Garvey

A classic, classic, CLASSIC Reggae tune! It should be included on every “Songs to hear before you die” list as far as I am concerned.

#3

Title: Make It Clap
Artist: Busta Rhymes
Album: Hip Hop Summer 2003

Busta is so good at dropping tracks that get the party started.

#4

Title: Friday Night
Artist: The Busy Twist
Album: Friday Night [EP]

The Busy Twist are London based producers mixing influences from the London bass scene and Ghanaian highlife and hip-life.

#5

Title: Spanish Harlem Incident
Artist: The Byrds
Album: Mr. Tambourine Man

The Byrds have such a distinctive sound.

#6

Title: Te Amo
Artist: C4 Pedro
Album: [Not Known]

#7

Title: Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked
Artist: Cage The Elephant
Album: Cage The Elephant

#8

Title: Hem Of Your Garment
Artist: Cake
Album: Prolonging The Magic

Technically, a song that opens with “I am intrinsically no good” shouldn’t make you break out with smiles, but Cake know what they are doing. One of those infectious “happy songs”.

#9

Title: Could it Be Any Harder
Artist: The Calling
Album: Camino Palmero

#10

Title: Beatus Vir
Artist: Cambridge Singers & La Nuova Musica
Album: The Sacred Flame
