The fun continued even when I started working as a waitress; with a number of people asking to take photos with me during and after their meal.
I tried to be as accommodating as I can, but truth be told, I don’t really like having my photo taken – as evidenced by the fact that in most of the photos I have of myself, I am under the age of 15. Plus, I am light-sensitive and flashes do cause me some discomfort.
But it’s hard to begrudge someone the joy of that photo when you know that on their return home, you will be an amazing story that they will share with their friends: marvelling at the time when they met that girl with skin darker than the earth…
