This is an extract from the first photograph that my wife and I ever took together. I love the image because it marks the start of many unexpected journeys.
I found my ideal companion in her and after eight years together, I am still awed by her choice to walk beside me. Knowing her is like living in that moment so beautifully described in Pink’s ‘Glitter In The Air’ song:
“Have you ever wished for an endless night?
Lassoed the moon and the stars and pulled that rope tight?
Have you ever held your breath and asked yourself:
Will it ever get better than tonight?”
Auburn, you continue to stun me.
